For movie night this past week, with the ‘Lost’ premiere siphoning off anybody that might have even come, we decided to watch Speed Racer. This movie is definitely soft science fiction, but I am compelled to share it with the world. Ok, it cannot be classified as regular SF, but it falls under science-romance. I mean come ON, this guy is forced to travel through time against his free will. ’Quantum Leap’ anyone? If that doesn’t place it somewhere in the sci-fi genre well… it does so there’s no point in arguing about it.
