Bad, So Bad: Splice, A Comedy

I find it hard to describe this movie.  This post talks about it a little, mentioned actors and the director.  Though I must say that after a full 20 hour day of the Sundance Film Festival, Splice was actually a really great way to end it.  If you’ve heard what people are saying about it, well, I’m going to say things a little differently.

Exactly Not What It Appears to Be, The Book of Eli

Contrived and oh so hard to believe.  That is a good summation of The Book of Eli.  Written by Gary Whitta and directed by the Hughes brothers, this was a generally bad piece of cinema.  I tried to like this movie, especially as post-apocalyptic pseudo science fiction, not much good exists of this kind.
