Would you like to know the best advertisement spot in the world?  The Google home page.  I mean, millions of people hit that site every day, you can’t ask for better product placement.  And that’s exactly where I first heard about the Nexus One.  It just sounds cool.  Then I took a closer peek, it didn’t disappoint.  I have two problems with this phone though, it has no physical keyboard and it looks remarkably like that iPhone.

The Nexus One is in the middle... I am actually physically attracted to it.

The good things?  It’s the second phone ever to house a 1GHZ processor.  Yes, this phone has a faster CPU than some netbooks, not only that but it’s a hell-of-a-lot smaller.  It also is the only phone to run on Android 2.1, which is home to even more customization improvements on the already ultra-personal OS.  It has the same size screen as the Droid, with a very slight reduction in resolution.  The camera is 5 megapixels with LED flash, good enough for any point and shoot situations.  Another awesome thing about this phone and very different from its other smartphone rivals, it’s going to be released on two carriers, T-Mobile presently, and Verizon in the spring.

While my dislike of on-screen keyboards is larger than life, this is the only phone that has completely eliminated that hang up.  Unfortunately I’m unable to presently upgrade for just under $200 (about the same price I initially upgraded for my G1), but you can bet your sweet cheeks I’m getting this baby once I can.  Emily will be happy about that, cause then she’ll be getting my now dinosaur G1, it’s absolutely ridiculous how fast phone go out of style.
