My Sci-Fi started out as a forum to speak about science fiction movies, but in a few short months morphed into a sort of catch-all for the genre and now includes technologies that will be fueling futures we could only dream about a decade ago.  So for almost two months straight there was something new to read every other day, but with family life and college getting in the way, it couldn’t last forever.  After a slow month in March, it’s been decided to publish bi-weekly, on Tuesdays and Fridays.  With any time sensitive articles hitting the site as they’re needed.

In conjunction with that commitment, My Sci-Fi will start offering content from brand new authors.  Because while I love sharing the views I have on all things science fiction, it’s too great a genre to leave being discussed by me alone.  We plan on having a few different regular contributors, so starting in the next few weeks, look for a different viewpoint or two.  This is also where I’m going to ask for some more feedback from any regular (or irregular) readers out there.  If you like what’s being said, leave a comment.  Disagree?  Tell us why.  And if you think there’s something out there that needs to be talked about, let us know.  Or even write your own piece about it and email it to me at jonulf@myscifi.org and we’ll be happy to have you on as a guest author.  Any comments or suggestions of any kind are welcome.

I’d also like to give a shout out to all our international readers.  It’s nice to have you Canada, Spain (esp. Barcelona), Denmark (Hey Copenhagen), the UK, Australia, India, France, Germany and Russia. To those from the other 35 countries we’ve got hits from, keep comin back for more.  As far as state side goes, Utah is still #1, followed by Cali, NY, Texas, Ohio, D.C., Arizone, Idaho, Washington and Oregon.  16 states to go before My Sci-Fi has hit them all.

Here are some stats if you’re curious.  The most popular post, via hits and searches is the initial Splice review (96 page views), and my latest post about that movie is already in the top ten (with 41).  The least viewed post is my Children of Men review with a mere 2 page views.  Number one traffic source is with referring sites (39%) while search engines provide 37% of my traffic (Google alone is 35%).  Over 55% of the visitors are using Firefox (36% on a Windows machine, 16% on a Mac).

Thanks for reading!
