Super 8, not so super

Everyone knows who did this movie.  Spielberg and Abrams.  What’s very interesting about this movie, is that you’d be able to name those two film makers even if you didn’t know they were already involved.  Especially if you’re over 25 or just familiar with Spielberg pre-1990, and have seen Lost, Cloverfield and Star Trek.

E3: Nintendo Press Conference

This is a big event for the gaming industry, it’s supposed to debut the next Nintendo console, and an entrance into current gen gaming tech. Nintendo opened with scenes from Zelda games with music provided from a live orchestra.  Very classy.  We can assume this means a return to the franchise.  Which will be very [...]

E3: Sony Press Conference

This is maybe the one I’ve most anticipated.  Because I want to know what tricks Sony has up it’s sleeve.  Microsoft has major Kinect support and some neat things all around for the console.  It will be interesting to see how Move counters the Kinect wave.  Especially on the multi-platform games such as ME3 and [...]

E3: Ubisoft Press Conference

Ubisoft has been around for a while.  Nearly three decades actually.  It’s been in the publishing and developing side of gaming for at least half of the companies existence.  Doing everything in house has been working out really well for them, despite a pension for delays.  All in all, this press conference should be great. Ubi [...]

E3: EA Press Conference

E3: Microsoft Press Conference.

Microsoft started off E3 with 10 minutes of gameplay from Moder Warfare 3.  Coming away from those 10 minutes, it felt as though MW3 is going to be a non-stop action movie that you experience.  This may be a good thing for some people, but when it was referenced as some of the “greatest storytelling” [...]

Review: X-Men First Class

Since the opportunity arose, I decided to go see X-Men: First Class with a few friends.  Before I write my thoughts down, I must first say a few words.  I am a not a comic book reader, nor am I particularly familiar with the true origins of the X-Men.  But I am comfortable in my appreciation and [...]

Assassins Creed: Revelations, My Take

A few weeks ago Ubisoft did a painfully exciting teaser for the next Asassins Creed game on Facebook.  Then Game Informer got the scoop on the next title in the franchise, Revelations.  GIs also got a great hub of information here.  Anyone that’s a fan of the series probably has already heard all the exciting [...]
